Department of Respiratory Medicine — Overview

The Department of Respiratory Medicine has been a part of ANIIMS since its inception in 2015 and has grown substantially. The department played a pivotal role in the management of COVID-19 in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and continues to deliver the latest, evidence-based care to patients with respiratory diseases, including those from the most remote parts of the islands.

Nodal / Referral Centre: The department serves as the nodal/referral centre for the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) and is the referral centre for patients with respiratory diseases across the entire Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
